Josie's Passion (Time For a Change)

Why 3 clothing is so important to me~ Josie

There is a great song that I like, but I disagree with completely. The song that I’m talking about is “Waiting on the World to Change” by John Mayer. It’s a good song, but it leaves you feeling powerless and I don’t think that’s how we should feel. To me the song speaks to the generation Y (Born 1977-2002) which includes John Mayer and the founders of 3 Clothing for that matter. It seems to say that we are just sitting by and waiting for others to change the world. Well, I say that WE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!

I don’t feel powerless at all. In fact, I helped start 3 clothing because I got tired of waiting for change. If you know any of us personally, you know that all 3 of us are very passionate about the world, the people in it and just life in general. For me, my greatest passions are my children. I want to see them grow up in a world of equality regardless sex, race, sexual orientation, or anything. My wife and I are not of the same race. This isn’t a problem for us and for the most part I forget that we don’t share the same skin color. However, I don’t want my children raised in a world where people hate each other because they look or think different or believe in something different. In a world where words like genocide are commonly combined with war, I think it’s important that we stand up and say that’s enough. I personally cannot ignore the actions that have taken place in Darfur. My personal fight is against both racial and cultural discrimination.

We at 3 clothing have decided to change the world with the gifts that we have. 10% of every purchase that you make from our site goes toward the charity of your choice and we are committed to using only materials that are environmentally safe in the production of our clothes. We are also committed to getting involved in our community’s and yours’; after all, earth is really just one big community. In the next few months we will begin releasing new designs that coincide with this blog. Please come back and tell us what you think. As usual, all comments are welcome. We really do believe that we can make a change. WE ARE WHO WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. The time for action is now, let’s make a change.
