The t shirt cause trend
So I was browsing t shirt blogs today, and I came across this interesting blog http://tcritic.com. One of the posts that really caught my attention was a blog about for a cause t shirt companies. To summarize the post, he says that he doesn't like most for a cause t shirt companies, because they think the cause is enough, and 2 they are ambiguous in how much they give. This struck home with me, because I completely agree.
Some people would look at our company as a for a cause t shirt company, because we use organic materials and we donate to charity. Well we aren't. Yes we do use organic cotton for our t shirts. Yes our ink is water based. Our shirts are created in a low impact manufacturing facility and are dyed with safe dyes. We give 10% of each sale to the charity of the buyers choice. We do these things, because it's the right thing to do, and we don't charge ridiculous prices to do it.
We are a clothing company. We believe you should like the clothes that you are wearing because they look good, not because of a cause, or because everyone else is wearing it. We strive to create fresh designs that are artistic and well, just look good. We also believe that companies should be responsible for the planet and give back to communities, not because of some trend or marketing, but because it's the right thing.
