Don't Dare Wear Crocs

So in this weeks DDW I'm blogging on another recommendation from you guys. So I'll start by saying it's time to end this already dead trend.

CROCS

What is it about these blobs of rubber with holes that have people thinking it's okay to wear them in public? Not only that, people wear them with everything; suits, jeans, shorts, etc... Do they not realize that they are just plain ugly? For some reason the company came out with a big variety of colors too, which only makes it more apparent to everyone around the person wearing them, that they don't own a full length mirror.

Fortunately where I live I don't see people wearing them, but while I was on vacation in TN, I noticed that people still wear these things. Can someone please tell me why? I understand in 2004 they were new and became a short lived fad, but that was 5 years ago. Crocs were one of 2007's Biggest Fashion Crimes (according to a notable website) and yet people still choose to wear them in 2009.

So let's stop this madness and unless you are on a boat (at night), checking your mail (at night) or in the privacy of your own home (with the lights off), save yourself the embarrassment and help out a homeless person by placing them in a dumpster.
