Why we donate 10%
3 Clothing Company was founded with the idea of doing our part to make this world a better place. We decided to take what skills we had and use them to better our respective communities.
There are so many wonderful non-profit organizations out there doing some of the most incredible work imaginable, so we felt that we should somehow put the spotlight on them while directing the flow of money their way. This is why 3 Clothing Company donates 10% of every sale to the charity of the buyer’s choice off an approved list. This list is extensive and grows every day, but if for some reason the charity that a buyer is passionate about is not represented, they can submit it to us for approval. Upon review of the charity’s financial statement to insure that donations reach the intended cause, the charity is added to our list.
Unlike many companies that donate a portion of their profit to a charity, 3 Clothing Company does not mark up prices and then donate that markup or ask the buyer to pay the donation as an extra. 3 Clothing donates 10% of the entire sale not just the profit. We believe that if we set the example of doing the right thing then hopefully others will follow. If a small portion of every purchase made around the world went to help an important cause, there may have already been a cure for cancer…or maybe there would be no more starvation in the world.
Take a moment and think about it. How much money do you spend every day? $20? $30? Now take just 2% of $30…that’s $.60. Multiply $.60 times 1 million people….THAT’S $600,000.00 A DAY!! $600,000.00 a day if only 1 million people were to donate $.60 to a cause that they felt passionate about. That is the power of micro-philanthropy! That is what 3 Clothing Company is trying to do….
